Grown Design Co. was founded by April Weidow, after recognizing the need for functional art that bridged the gap between beautiful home decor and essential, practical objects. Determining that the most necessary items are left out in the open, essentially displayed, she set out to create products that filled the void between useful and aesthetic. At Grown, the intention of providing customers' with well-made, functional products that add to the ambience of a room, rather than simply just existing in that space, remains of the greatest importance to us. 

 

We see the loveliness and charm in the real.  We believe that there is beauty in the imperfections of handmade objects. The subtle nuances of each piece make them authentic and one-of-a-kind.  We run our business in a way that allows us to create every item thoughtfully and carefully by hand in small batches, and using only domestic materials. We purchase supplies from fellow small businesses whenever possible to continue the support of America's small business market and the growth of our local economy.
